Where we work
Marybeth is based in the West End. Everything below is a short drive or a walk from there.
Vancouver is not one market. A dog in a Coal Harbour tower has a different day from a dog in a Kitsilano house, and a caregiver who has never dealt with a concierge desk, a parkade fob, or a February seawall in the rain will find that out the hard way. Local knowledge is the difference between a walk that happens and a walk that gets cut short.
We have been doing this in these neighbourhoods since 2015. We know which buildings need a fob for the elevator, which stretches of seawall get crowded on a sunny Saturday, and which parks stay usable when it has rained for a week. That is not a marketing line, it is just what eleven years in one city gets you.

Seven areas, and what care looks like in each one.
Coal Harbour
Towers, concierges, and the seawall. Most of our Coal Harbour work is dog walking and drop-in visits for people who travel a lot, with Devonian Harbour Park and the Stanley Park seawall a few minutes from almost every building.

Converted warehouses and glass towers along False Creek. David Lam Park and George Wainborn Park are the daily walk, and the seawall runs the length of the neighbourhood.

Where Marybeth lives. Stanley Park, Lost Lagoon, English Bay, and a mix of older walk-ups and towers. The densest residential neighbourhood in Canada, and the one we know best.
Pet care in West End →Kitsilano
Character houses, low-rises, and Kits Beach. Vanier Park and Hadden Park give you a long flat walk with the water on one side and the city on the other.

The core, from the financial district to the entertainment district. Small suites, tight schedules, and a lot of dogs who need a proper midday walk.

Lonsdale, Lower Lonsdale, and up the hill. Mosquito Creek, Lynn Canyon, and the trails behind them, which means muddy paws and a towel by the door for half the year.

Ambleside, Dundarave, and the British Properties. Ambleside Park has one of the best off-leash dog areas in the region, right on the water.

Every booking in every neighbourhood works the same way.
- A free meet and greet first. At your home, with the person who will actually be caring for your pet. Nothing goes ahead until you are comfortable.
- One caregiver, start to finish. One person is assigned to your booking and stays for the whole visit. Book again and you get the same person wherever we can manage it.
- Your pet stays home. Their own bed, their own routine, their own walk. No kennel, no van full of other dogs.
- Photos and videos every day. You see what your pet actually did, not a generic check-in message.
- We look after the home too. Mail, packages, plants, bins, bedding and towels on longer stays.
- Insured, licensed and registered. Two animals per caregiver, which is what our insurance allows and what proper attention actually requires.
Questions about coverage
Do you charge more to travel to my neighbourhood?
No. Everywhere listed on this page is covered at our normal rates. If you are outside these areas, ask anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it well.
Can you handle building concierges, fobs, and parkade access?
Yes, and most of our clients live in buildings like that. We go through access at the free meet and greet, including fobs, codes, concierge instructions, and where the elevator to the parkade is.
What if I live just outside these areas?
Get in touch. We would rather say no early than take a booking we cannot serve properly, and sometimes the answer is yes anyway.
Do you know the off-leash areas?
Yes, and we follow them. Off-leash areas and their hours change from time to time, so we check the current City of Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, and District of West Vancouver listings rather than going from memory.
